Barrier Requirements, Setbacks, Etc.

Hey, just reiterating, if everybody could pitch in on the setbacks and barrier requirements for the different towns, it'd really help.

Even information like the fact that most Tolleson and Laveen permits are Phoenix permits, everything you can think of, please contribute to the blog. Thanks a lot everybody.

I would like to let anyone know who's interested. I have barrier and setback requirements for most if not all the valley. If anyone needs copies I'd be happy to fax to you.

Requirements for city of Mesa. Mesa has a provision that one side of yard is to remain clear ( 10' ) from side of home to side block wall. This is usually the gate entrance to back yard. There are very few subdivisions which do allow building in this area. I would recommend to call city of Mesa if you think this 10' clearance is not required. Bottom line, do not put pool equipment, decking and or waters edge in this in this 10' area. FYI--the only subdivision i've learned doesn't require this 10' area that i know of is, Blanford Homes. Any questions i'm alway available.
